En route to Himeville
WiFi access has been very spotty lately, thus the lack of posts. Internet service isn’t great at our B&B in Himeville, and storms and scheduled “power shedding” (their term for “rolling brown-outs”) have knocked out WiFi altogether.

The Drakensburgs can be seen in the distance.

On Sunday we left Penryn B&B in Dundee, KwaZulu-Natal -
and headed south along the east side of the Drakensberg Mountains to the town of Himeville (also in KwaZulu-Natal - one of the English states, as opposed to Afrikaans).
En route we encountered some less-than-wildlife along the road - like cows (John tells me this is a goat, not a cow - I’m a city girl!)
and goats

Who seem to think they have the right-of-way.
Himeville’s claim to fame is that it’s located at the base of the Sani Pass - a very rough route through the mountains to Lesotho. We’re staying at Karmichael Farm B&B.
The Drakensburgs can be seen in the distance.
We made it safe and sound without hitting any critters en route.
