Clarens & Golden Gate National Park
A gorgeous day in Clarens - warm sunshine and beautiful scenery.

We saw wildebeests, zebras, and some kind of bok (antelope) - we couldn’t get close enough to get a picture, but our new binoculars worked great.

My suitcase arrived! It took several “assertive” phone calls and 45 hours, but it’s here. Whew! (British Airways sent me a customer satisfaction questionnaire - they got an unvarnished response.)
We’ve driven around and looked at vacation homes around here before, so we decided to take a closer look. We stopped in to a realty office and asked if there were places for sale that we could see. Apparently there’re many for sale, and prices are amazingly low, including monthly HOA fees. She showed us a duplex unit on the golf course - if it weren’t such a long way to get here, it would be a great deal for a place to spend winters.
Later in the afternoon we drove to nearby Golden Gate National Park - gorgeous rock formations and our first sightings of wild critters.
